One of today’s greatest international professors and scientists who study global agribusiness.
Marcos Fava Neves holds a degree in Agronomy from the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (USP) in 1991, completed his entire postgraduate career in business strategies, and became a full professor at the Faculty of Administration USP in Ribeirão Preto at the age of 40. He completed his postgraduate studies in France (1995) and the Netherlands (1998/1999 in Wageningen). Since 2006, he has been an International Professor at the University of Buenos Aires, and since 2013, at Purdue University in Indiana (USA). He specializes in strategic planning and management, having carried out more than 300 projects in the Brazilian and global agribusiness sectors. Author and organizer of 80 books published in 10 countries, and more than 200 articles in international and national scientific journals, receiving 6,000 citations according to Google Scholar, one of the most cited Brazilian scientists worldwide. He has published more than 700 articles in newspapers and magazines, having been a columnist for the China Daily in Beijing and Folha de São Paulo, in addition to writing articles for Valor Econômico. He currently has a column in Estadão and Veja. He has been interviewed by newspapers such as the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, and has given more than 1,850 lectures in 23 countries, being one of the most well-known and respected Brazilians internationally in the field of agribusiness and planning/strategy.
As an entrepreneur, he founded Markestrat in 2004, the DoutorAgro platform in 2014, and the Harven Agribusiness School in 2024..
